These are opening scripts โ not full call scripts. The goal of each one is to get the prospect talking. Once they tell you what's going on, you pivot to pain point discovery and then a tailored pitch.
Read these out loud several times before your first call. Familiarity makes them sound natural, not rehearsed.
"Hi, is this [Name]? Great โ this is [Your Name], I'm a LegalShield associate. You recently asked for information about personal legal coverage and I just wanted to make sure you get the right details."
"Do you have just a couple of minutes?"
"Can I ask โ was there a specific legal situation that prompted you to look into this, or were you more just exploring your options?"
Listen carefully to their answer. That's your pitch โ connect whatever they say to the specific benefit that resolves it.
"Hi [Name], this is [Your Name] โ I'm a LegalShield associate. You reached out about business legal coverage, and I wanted to personally follow up."
"Is now an okay time for just a couple of minutes?"
"What kind of business do you run? And is there something specific that made you look into legal protection โ like a contract situation, an employee issue, or just wanting to be covered going forward?"
Business owners respond well when you acknowledge they're busy and that their time matters. Keep the tone efficient and peer-to-peer.
"Hi [Name], this is [Your Name] with LegalShield. You recently asked about CDL legal protection, and I'm reaching out to help."
"Quick question โ did you get a ticket recently, or were you more looking to make sure you're covered if something comes up?"
"Got it. How long have you been driving commercially?"
CDL drivers are practical people. Get to the point fast, ask about their situation, and let them see you understand how high the stakes are for their livelihood.
"Hi [Name], this is [Your Name] with IDShield. You recently asked about identity protection โ I just wanted to personally follow up."
"Do you have just a couple of minutes?"
"Can I ask โ have you had any issues with your identity before, or was this more about getting ahead of something before it happens?"
If they've been a victim before, they have strong emotional motivation. If they haven't, focus on the "by the time you know, it's too late" angle.
"Hi [Name], this is [Your Name] with LegalShield. I saw you were looking into legal benefits for employees โ I wanted to reach out to see if I could help."
"Are you the one who handles benefits decisions at [their company], or would someone else be involved in that conversation?"
"Got it. How many employees are we talking, roughly?"
Qualify immediately โ you need the decision maker. Once confirmed, emphasize that this is 100% voluntary, zero cost to the employer, and consistently one of the most-valued voluntary benefits offered.
"Hi [Name], this is [Your Name] โ I'm a LegalShield associate. You recently expressed interest in the business opportunity side of LegalShield, and I wanted to personally reach out."
"Is now a good time for a quick conversation?"
"What got you interested โ are you looking for something to do alongside what you're already doing, or are you more exploring a full transition?"
Meet them where they are. Someone looking for side income needs a different pitch than someone who wants to build a full business. Ask before you assume.
